The 2016 Ford Focus is one of the most diverse vehicles on the market, with a wide range of unique engine options and the choice between a four-door hatchback and traditional sedan format. With whichever variation you choose, you’ll get unique and stylish wheel designs, as well as a comfortable interior that comes with the new Sync infotainment system. One of the benefits of Sync is its hands-free calling, which allows you to keep your hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road while making phone calls.
The Award-Winning RS
The 2016 Ford Focus RS has already been named Top Gear Magazine’s Car of the Year and the 2016 Vehicle Dynamics International Car of the Year. So what makes the Focus RS so special? To name a few, it’s got dual-zone climate control, a rearview camera, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. Even more impressively, the Focus RS is powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 350 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. Combine that power with the RS’s all-wheel drive system, and you’ve got one seriously sporty car.
The Eco-Friendly Ford Focus Electric
The 2016 Ford Focus Electric receives its motivation from a 143-horsepower synchronous electric motor and 23kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which gives the new Focus Electric a range of 76 miles. This EV can be recharged in just four hours using a 240-volt home charger. While the Focus Electric isn’t ideal for long highway trips, this compact sedan is perfectly suited for city driving. If you just can’t stomach driving on electric power but still value efficiency, the new Focus can also be equipped with a 1.0-liter turbo three-cylinder motor that produces EPA-estimated fuel economy of 27 mpg in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.
