Fireworks at the Fountain
On the Fourth of July, Lake Eola Park in downtown Orlando is definitely the place to be. From 4-10 p.m., the park will be packed with fun activities the whole family will love as well as great live music, food and drinks, and fun activities. Fireworks will start at 9:15, so make sure you find a good spot by then.
Florida Kids and Family Expo
On August 17-18, families with kids will not want to miss the Florida Kids and Family Expo at the Orange County Convention Center. The unique convention will feature more than 150 interactive exhibitors showcasing awesome new products and services in addition to plenty of fun zones, arts and crafts, sports, and bounce houses.
Movies at Leu Gardens
Each month, Leu Gardens hosts a truly unforgettable movie night on a huge 32-foot screen. Movies start at 6 p.m. though movie goers are welcome to stroll the 50 acre gardens before settling down to catch a film. Grilled food, popcorn, and drinks are always available, though you’re welcome to bring all of your favorite picnic classics as well.
Global Peace Film Festival
Between September 16-24, Orlando is home to the Global Peace Film Festival, a world-class event that coincides with the UN’s International Day of Peace. All film and culture buffs will enjoy this one-of-a-kind film festival featuring films, panels, and parties.
